Internet sites for History of Art
There are a large number of art history resources available on the Internet, and a few selected sites are listed below. Access to a few of these sites is via subscription, paid for by the Library, and these may require confidential passwords, particularly if you are off campus.

- The Mother of all Art History Links Pages - a US collection of links relating to the academic study of Art History.
- Intute: arts & humanities - visual arts - provides links to quality resources in the visual arts.
Encyclopaedias
- Oxford art online - contains the online version of the Grove Dictionary of Art (for off campus access, click on the 'Eduserv Athens login' link when you get to Oxford art online).
- Oxford dictionary of national biography - useful for information about British artists, patrons etc.
Image Libraries
- ARTstor - a very large collection of high quality art history images, particularly good for works in US museums.
- Bridgeman Education - a wide range of art history images, particularly good for works in British collections.

- Artists' Papers Register - lists locations of the papers of artists held in publicly accessible collections in the UK.
