Tips on logging in to Athens resources

Students

Username: enter your 8 digit student number (eg 00054321)

Password: enter your portal password.
This is the password you use to log into your Personal Information Portal (PIP) pages and other facilities such as Brookes Virtual, HallNet Online and the Brookes Intranet. Your portal password is case sensitive.

Don't know your portal password? Take your student card to:

• Gipsy Lane - Computer Services Centre, Computer Services Help Desk, the Library or the Student Administration Office
• Wheatley - the Library or Computer Services Help Desk
• Harcourt Hill - the Library or Computer Services Help Desk

Staff

Username: enter your 8 digit staff number (ie your six digit payroll number prefixed with p0, eg p0012345)

Password: enter your portal password.
This is the password you use to log into your Personal Information Portal (PIP) pages and other facilities such as Brookes Virtual and the Brookes Intranet. If you are unfamilar with PIP/Brookes Virtual, your portal password is likely be the same as your Brookes email password. Your portal password is case sensitive.

Don't know your portal password? Take your staff card to:

• Gipsy Lane - OBIS Help Desk or the Library
• Wheatley - the Library or Computer Services Help Desk
• Harcourt Hill - the Library or Computer Services Help Desk

If you do not have a staff card, take your contract, or a letter from your line manager, with additional photographic proof.
Special arrangements are in place for School of Health Care staff - contact your IT staff for more details.

We cannot issue a portal password by email or telephone but we may be able to post the password details to you at home.
Contact one of the following services for help, supplying your full name, staff/student number, date of birth and home address:
