Why do I need to log in to Athens?

Athens is a security system which controls access to most (but not all) of the Library's electronic resources, such as databases and electronic journals. Unless you are logged in to Athens you may not be able to use the Athens controlled databases and journals. Although many of our resources can be used without first logging in when you are on campus, this does not apply to all of them.

To make things easy for you, log in before you start using our resources and then you can pass from one Athens resource to another in a single session without having to log in to Athens again (some resources may require that you select a Login button or an Athens link but you will not need to enter your username and password again).
