Using other libraries

SCONUL Access is a co-operative scheme between many of the higher education libraries of the UK and Ireland. Our Library is a member of this scheme which enables part-time and distance learning students and full-time postgraduate students to borrow from participating libraries. The SCONUL Access website provides details of member libraries and application forms. Click on 'Information for students' from the SCONUL website to print off a form. Complete and sign the form and post back to the Library. We need to sign and stamp the form and will then post it back to you to take to your chosen libraries.

The scheme does not include international libraries. If you want to use an overseas library, contact the library directly for admission information.

Listing (citing) your references

Citing (also called referencing) is an essential part of your academic work. The Library guide Listing (citing) the information sources used in your work explains why you need to reference correctly and how to do it using different systems, eg Harvard (author-date). Please remember that your course tutor may require you to use a different referencing system or a different version of Harvard. Do check with your tutor.

Also see the link to details about Endnote below. Endnote enables you to create a database of your citations and enter them into papers automatically.
