Information for external users and visitors

We are pleased to be able to offer a range of Library services to external users and visitors. However the prime responsibility of Oxford Brookes University Library is to provide library and information services to meet the needs of current University staff and students.

Please note that the Headington Library has a card controlled entry system. Visitors need to provide ID to use the Library. In order to help to ensure that there is sufficient space for Oxford Brookes students in the period before and during examinations, we regret that visitor passes will not be issued after 20.00 on weekdays. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.

• Reference use of Library facilities

• Borrowing books and other material : borrowing rights are not generally available to members of the public, but we do offer an External Borrowers Scheme for certain groups of Library user, including Oxford Brookes Alumni and students from other UK higher education institutions.
