Laptops

You are welcome to bring your laptop into the Library and you can plug it into available power points (at your own risk). Do not leave trailing wires where other Library users may trip. Please do not leave your laptop unattended at any time.

Memory sticks are available to buy from library counters.

Wireless connectivity is now available to all Brookes students free of charge. It lets registered users connnect their wireless-enabled computer or device to the network wherever there is a signal available.

The service is part of the Eduroam project which allows members of different educational organisations to use the wireless service offered at each participating location without requiring additional configuration.

To use the service, you need to register and then configure your computer using online instructions. Find out more from our wireless pages.

Printing

Duplex printing is available on all PCs with the exception of the Training Room. To print single sided on Duplex printers see the Computer Services guide on single sided printing on duplex printers (Word) This document is also available as a PDF.

There is no colour printer in Headington Library but it is possible to print to the Computer Services central colour printers. If you print to the Gipsy Lane colour printer, you can collect your printing from the pigeonholes in the Computer Services Centre.

For information and advice about all aspects of printing see Computer Services printing information.
