Dissertation Training Sessions

Do you need help in devising your search strategy? Are you finding too many results? Or too few? Or are your results not relevant? Then this session is for you!

You must sign up in advance for this session, rather than just turning up. To do this: go to the following link and fill in your details:
http://www.brookes.ac.uk/library/health/healthcare-booking-form.html

Please watch this space for advertised sessions.

Please note: If you sign up for an advanced database searching session, we expect you to be competent at basic database searching (picking out keywords, finding synonyms, and the use of wildcard, truncation and Boolean Operators). If you do not feel competent in these areas, we suggest that you sign up for a basic database searching session instead.

EndNote Web Training Session

EndNote is a piece of software designed to help you manage your references in your assignments and dissertations. It also enables the easy insertation of journal or book references into assignments.
EndNote Web is an online version of this software that is freely available to Brookes students.

We will be running and EndNote Web session at Marston Road during Semester 2 - this will be advertised on this page in due course and also to all students via the Programme Administrators.

Please note that you must sign up in advance for this session, rather than just turning up. To do this: go to the following link and fill in your details:
http://www.brookes.ac.uk/library/health/healthcare-endnote-form.html

For more information about EndNote and EndNote Web and for details of training sessions at Headington Library have a look at the library webpages http://www.brookes.ac.uk/library/endnote.html
