- Undergraduates may use these for reference without any prior
arrangement and may have borrowing facilities on the recommendation
of a tutor or Oxford resident and on presentation of student identification.
Postgraduates and staff need only present evidence of name and address. - The Oxford Central Library, with a large lending stock and specialist local studies and music collections, is situated in the Westgate Centre, Oxford and there are many more local libraries in Oxfordshire. Oxfordshire Studies/Oxfordshire Record Office
- Oxfordshire Studies, run by Oxfordshire County Council, offers much larger and more comprehensive resources, including map and photographic collections. It is located at the Westgate Central Library, and library staff provide individual assistance to users.
- Original documentary sources are available at the Oxfordshire Record Office, in Cowley; advance booking of a visit is strongly recommended (01865 398200).
