Library resources on your mobile
The following e-resources are available in formats suitable for use on mobile devices. Please note, if you are off-campus or not connected to the Brookes network you should log into Athens before trying to access any content on these sites. You may log into Athens here.

ACS Mobile app
The ACS Mobile app from ACS Publishing permits the searching of over 1 million scientific articles and book chapters produced by the American Chemical Society. Full-text is available where Brookes has a subscription to the journal. The app is available for Android and iOS devices.
ARTstor mobile
ARTstor offers more than one million images covering a wide variety of subject areas, including art, architecture, religion, anthropology, literature, and history. ARTstor mobile allows registered users to search, browse, and view previously created image groups. Access is via a mobile website.
Please note you will need to register on-campus at http://library.artstor.org/ before you will be able to log into the mobile site
Bridgeman Education app
Bridgeman Education provides art historical images useful for a wide range of subjects including art, history, geography, architecture, literature, science, religion, and anthropology. Bridgeman Education images are available for educational purposes to Brookes students and staff. The images may be viewed, printed or downloaded for reproduction in coursework, for classroom presentation, or into WebCT. Any images downloaded from Bridgeman Education should be credited with the wording ‘Copyright The Bridgeman Art Library – London, New York, Paris’. Images are only available for educational and research purposes and may not be made public. They should not be made available on the internet or used for publication or lectures outside Brookes
Please note you will need to enter a password the first time you use the app.
The Company of Biologists mobile interface
The Company of Biologists is a non-profit organization whose objectives are the advancement and promotion of research in, and the study of, all branches of biology.
EBSCOhost mobile
EBSCOhost provides access to a number of indexes and full-text databases in a variety of disciplines. Access is via either a mobile website or free apps for Android or Apple's iOS.
Android users can obtain the app from the Android market. Apple iOS users should go to the EBSCOhost 'Choose databases' screen, click on a link to enter one of the available databases, scroll to the foot of the screen and click the link to the EBSCOhost iPhone/iPod Touch app. You can then enter your Brookes email address to receive instructions, an activation key and a link to the App Store.
Emerald app
Subjects covered include management, human resource management, marketing, librarianship, mechanical engineering, electronic and electrical engineering
Journal of Cell Biology app and mobile site
Full-text access to JCB, the international cell biology journal. Please go to http://www.rupress.org/voucher/get for instructions on linking your mobile device to our institutional subscription.
Oxford Journals mobile websites
This service provides full-text access to the Oxford University Press journals which we subscribe to in print format. It also provides access to contents page/abstract information for post-1995 journals to which we do not subscribe. In addition, we have access to the OUP Archive which contains the content of each journal from the first volume up to the end of 1995.

PubMed
The PubMed database comprises more than 19 million bibliographic records for biomedical articles from MEDLINE and life science journals. Citations may include links to free full-text articles from PubMed Central or publisher web sites. This route to using MEDLINE does not contain links to other subscription based full-text content through LinkSource.
RSC Mobile (Royal Society of Chemistry)
RSC Mobile provides access to the RSC journals content available through JISC journal archives.The free iOS app for Apple devices is available on iTunes, whist the free Android app is available from the Android Market.
ScienceDirect
Contains about 1800 full text journals published by Elsevier, mainly in science, technology and medicine. Full text coverage for most journals in the collection is available from 2002 to present.

Taylor & Francis Online Mobile
Taylor & Francis Online Mobile provides mobile access to the 1,600 journals and reference works available via Taylor & Francis Online. This is a web app that works best on the following versions of Android, iPhone and Blackberry:
iPad 3.2.2 or later
Android 2.2 or later
BlackBerry OS 6 (including the Torch 9800)
BlackBerry Tablet OS devices (including PlayBook)
Mobile devices not on the above list can still access the site, but will be directed to the desktop version of the Taylor & Francis web site.
Oxford Brookes University
