Museum of Modern Art Oxford Collection

The Library has become the permanent home of the Museum of Modern Art Oxford Collection. The Museum of Modern Art Oxford became Modern Art Oxford in 2002.

The Collection consists of some book material but principally of a very significant collection of exhibition catalogues from galleries world wide. The coverage of the Collection is primarily of post-1960s art but items covering earlier periods in the history of art are also included.

The Collection is available for use by members of Oxford Brookes University, the University of Oxford and Modern Art Oxford, and by any member of the public that the University believes to have a serious interest in the Collection's material. The material in the Collection is for reference use only.

The exhibition catalogues are currently being added to the Library Catalogue. Catalogued material can be found at the start of the Collection in the North Gallery on the second floor of the Library. Uncatalogued material is arranged in two separate sequences. In the first sequence the catalogues are arranged alphabetically by country. In the second the catalogues are arranged alphabetically by artist.
