Oxfordshire Society of Architects Collection
The Oxfordshire Society of Architects Collection contains some 650 books and 65 periodical volumes held onpermanent loan from the OSA. The treasures of the collection include antiquarian books from the seventeenth century onwards, including a much sought after 1839-49 edition of Joshua Nash's Mansions of England in olden time. We also hold fine examples of early twentieth century titles which demonstrate the range of modern and traditional architecture admired by local architects at the time, plus an impressive collection of nineteenth and twentieth century technical literature. Such technical literature was traditionally discarded by architects as it was superseded so this is a collection of considerable rarity.
