Do you have the right web browser, settings, and plug-ins? Visit the Browser Tune-up page to check for recommended specification, and to download the latest plugins.

Got a specific query?

• For TECHNICAL queries (eg. logging on) visit the OBIS IT Help Desk at either Gipsy Lane, Wheatley or Harcourt Hill Campuses.
  
• For COURSE RELATED queries (eg. info regarding your course materials) seek assistance from your course leader.

Want online help?

In every module there is an online help link in the top right corner. The link is dynamic, i.e. it provides information based on what you are doing when you invoke help.

Blackboard also provide support for students - the section on quizzes is useful. The Ask Dr C forum is also helpful.

Need software add-ons?

To view and print pdf files you will require Adobe Acrobat Reader. It's a free download.

Need to view MS PowerPoint presentations that your tutors included in your Brookes Virtual module but don't have PowerPoint at home? Try the free Microsoft PowerPoint Viewer. Note that it may take several minutes to download.
