Be sure to take full advantage of the societies and communities at Brookes University. Joining the Brookes TV society, run from the media school gave me an opportunity to flex my filming fingers creating a piece for a local TV station. Conversely, if there is nothing that grabs your interest, take advantage of the enthusiastic student body and start up your own society. This year I was part of small group that set up an independent student newspaper. A whirl-wind ride through fundraising, creating and designing, aided by Brookes' friendly staff and top notch facilities. Brookes is blooming with opportunities.
