A lot of projects involve very hands-on work. I’m working with people in the industry and I’ve learned more in eight months than I have before.
We’ve received a lot of support on placements. There are big publishers, like OUP and Pearson, but also smaller, niche publishers in Oxford. I heard about Berg through a guest lecture. They’re doing this fantastic digital product called Berg Fashion Library. I’m doing an internship with them this summer - just what I was looking for.
Right now I’m figuring out the scope of my dissertation. I spent an hour and forty minutes in my professor’s office just talking it through to get to the idea. Our professors are open to doing that.
