MATLAB is a high-performance language for technical computing. It entegrates computation, visualization, and programming in an easy-to-use environment where problems and solutions are expressed in familiar mathematical notation.
MATLAB is an interactive system whose basic data element is an array that does not require dimensioning. This allows you to solve many technical computing problems, especially those with matrix and vector formulations, in a fraction of the time it would take to write a program in scalar non-interactive languages such as C or Fortran.
The name MATLAB stands for matix laboratory. MATLAB engines incorporate the LAPACK and BLAS libraries, embedding the state of the art in software for matrix computation.
In university enviornments, it is the standard instrument tool for introductory and advanced courses in mathematics, engineering and science. In industry, MATLAB is the tool of choice for high-productivity research, development and analysis.
This training course will give you a quick feel for the way MATLAB operates and an appreciation of its power and flexibility.
Content:
- Starting with MATLAB
- Creating arrays. Mathematical operations with arrays
- Script files. Function and Function files
- Programming in MATLAB
- Two and three dimensional plots
- Data fitting and interpolation.
The course will run from 9:00am to 6:00pm every day and is limited to 20 spaces.
Venue: Wheatley Campus
Coffee Break: 10:30-11:00 and 3:45-3:15 on each day
Lunch Break: 12:30-1:15 on each day.
Tea/Coffee and lunch will be provided.
