Research Ethics

Oxford Brookes University is committed to maintaining high ethical standards in the research undertaken by staff and research students. To this end, it has adopted a Code of Practice for the Ethical Standards for Research Involving Human Participants and has established a University Research Ethics Committee (UREC) to promote good practice and to conduct formal ethics review of research.

The full ethics review process, how to apply and how the Research Ethics Committee operates are explained in the sections below.
