Work placements in the School of the Built Environment
Our graduates benefit from the school's close ties to industry, our many professionally accredited courses and the research embedded in our teaching.
Students on many of our courses organise vacation placements to gain work experience. Some courses also have a formal industrial placement year.
Undergraduate construction courses industrial placement year
Two of our undergraduate courses, Construction Project Management BSc and Quantity Surveying and Commercial Management BSc have a compulsory industrial placement year as part of the course.

Through our industrial placement programmes we have developed very good links with industry. Many local, national and international companies return each year to employ our students.
