Parents

Effective partnerships between parents and schools underpin optimal education for children of all levels of ability, including the able, gifted and talented. The main focus of this website is continuing professional development for educators. Yet parents may find much of interest here.

If you are interested in learning about aspects of education for able, gifted and talented children from the perspective of professional educators, you will find the units of professional development material instructive. You may also find the Launchpad briefings useful, depending on your interest in particular aspects of provision in primary and secondary schools.

Click here for suggestions on how parents can help able children in primary school.

If you would like to learn more about support for the parents
of gifted and talented children, you should find the links to the
websites of the National Association for Gifted Children (NAGC)
and the National Association for Able Children in Education (NACE)
to be helpful.
