Autobiography of Intercultural Encounters

A project of the Language Policy Division, Directorate General IV, Council of Europe. The project’s purpose is producing materials for schools across Europe to guide school children and young people in reflections on encounter with people from other cultures/nationalities/faiths.

Dr Julia Ipgrave is a member of Autobiography of Intercultural Encounters working group.

The role entails:

• Participation in AIE meetings at Council of Europe, Strasbourg

• Joint authorship of primary version of Autobiography of Intercultural Encounters and accompanying materials

• Arranging for the piloting of materials in a number of European states and revising materials in the light of these pilots.

• Contribution on pedagogical/educational implications to the Concept Paper being prepared to accompany the Autobiography of Intercultural Encounters.
