Full Submission Guidelines (.pdf, 64Kb)
Submission checklist for authors
The Geoversity Editors would like to encourage Oxford Brookes undergraduate students to submit their
work. This can be a paper, or an interactive resource.
All work must be original, fully referenced and previously unpublished.
-
Ensure that the article conforms to the style format for the Geoversity journal as set out within the full Submission Guidelines (.pdf file, 63Kb). Papers can be of any length, and all parts should be digital.
Papers and resources should be in an editable format. We will accept articles in word, posters in Powerpoint or Publisher. PDFs are unacceptable for submission.
If you are in any doubt as to whether your software will be acceptable, please email Helen Walkington (hwalkington@brookes.ac.uk).
-
Appropriate permissions must be obtained to reproduce any copyrighted material or content. All figures and images used within the article that are not your own work, must have had copyright permission obtained, and/or attributed to them. Authors are responsible for obtaining copyright permission for reproducing anything (images, tables or graphs) that has previously been published, and for crediting the source and copyright in the captions accompanying the figures etc. Authors are also required to acknowledge these within the article.
Papers may be based on work submitted for assessment as part of the students degree, after the assessment has been completed.
Further guidance concerning the accepted format and writing style for Geoversity
articles, can be found within the Submission Guidelines (.pdf file, 63Kb). Articles will be returned to the authors for
revision if the points above have not been addressed. Omissions of information within articles can
delay the reviewing process.
If you are considering a submission, but are not sure whether this would be suitable, please don’t
hesitate to contact Dr. Helen Walkington (hwalkington@brookes.ac.uk) for advice. Please submit all articles/resources to hwalkington@brookes.ac.uk
