The Oxford Institute of Legal Practice has a reputation as one of the country's foremost providers of the Legal Practice Course (LPC).
Legal Training
For those who wish to qualify as a solicitor in the UK we offer a full range of electives suitable for those who wish to enter commercial, non-commercial and publicly funded areas of practice. We also have an extremely active student pro-bono scheme, excellent careers support (with a personal careers tutor for each student) and a busy sport and social calendar.
About OXILP
The Oxford Institute of Legal Practice (OXILP) was established jointly by the University of Oxford and Oxford Brookes University in 1993 to specialise in the delivery of solicitor training and t he Legal Practice Course (LPC).
In 2008 OXILP became a fully integrated part of Oxford Brookes University within the School of Social Sciences and Law.
Students on the legal practice coursehave access to all the facilities of the Oxford Brookes University as well as its home in Headington Hill Hall, a beautiful, Grade II listed mansion dating back to 1771.
Following the success of its LPC, OXILP has more recently become one of only five QLTT providers in the country, enabling overseas lawyers and barristers to qualify as solicitors in England and Wales.
OXILP also prides itself on its continuing professional development expertise, and has developed a series of CPD courses covering all areas of practice.
