IT Service Desks

The IT Service Desk staff provide first-line support for the pooled computer rooms and the most popular applications. They will also liaise with other Computer Services groups such as Hardware Support or Operations in order to ensure that any faults are dealt with as speedily as possible. They are here to help you get the most out of the IT facilities at Brookes so do use them!

Location and Opening Times:

  • Gipsy Lane, North Library

    The Gipsy Lane IT Service Desk is located in the North Library. If you walk past the Library Enquiry Desk and through two sets of double doors we can be found on your right.

The IT Service Desk is open weekdays from 8.30am to 8pm.

Semester time weekend opening times:

The weekend hours are, Saturday from 11am to 4pm (3pm on Saturday 7th May) and Sunday from 12 noon to 4pm. No need to book just turn up!

During vacation the IT Service Desk is open weekdays from 9.30am to 1pm and 2pm to 4.30pm (4pm on Fridays).

    The Wheatley IT Service Desk is located in the Wheatley Library and is open weekdays from 9am to 5pm semester time only.


  • Harcourt Hill, Room GLG/08
    Tel: (01865 48)8266
    The Harcourt Hill IT Service Desk is located in G block near the computer rooms and the library and is open weekdays from 9am to 5pm (4.30pm on Wednesdays).
