Need help to change your password?
To change your password(s) login to your PIP page and click the 'My Settings' tab at the top and then choose 'Change Portal Password'. You will need to enter your current portal password. This is the password you were given at enrolment (students) or by Computer Services (staff) unless you have previously changed it. Your portal password gives you access to PIP, Brookes Virtual, Athens, eduroam@brookes and HallNet and is initially the same as your password for email and the PC Network.
We recommend you choose different passwords for your accounts; and make sure they are memorable - but only to you!
Students
If you have forgotten your password you will need to take your student card to one of the following locations where you will be given a new password (you can then change it using these web pages or the 'Change Passwords' option on the PC Network):
- Gipsy Lane - the Computer Services Centre, the Academic Management Office or the Library
- Wheatley Library
- Harcourt Hill Library
If you require any other assistance, please go to the Wheatley, Harcourt Hill, or Gipsy Lane Help Desk with your library card.
Staff
If you have forgotten your password, you will need to take your staff card to the Computer Services Centre at Gipsy Lane or one of the libraries. If you do not have a staff card, you will need a letter from your line manager together with personal identity. Special arrangements are in place for School of Health Care staff (contact your IT staff for more details).
