Register for eduroam@brookes

To use eduroam@brookes you will need to log in to register for the service and agree to its terms and conditions of use. When you log in you will use your eight character ID number, as it appears on your Library card, followed by the @brookes.ac.uk realm suffix (eg 01234567@brookes.ac.uk) along with the password that you use to log in to the PC network.

Note for Staff: If you are a BrookesMIS user your realm suffix should be @cis.brookes.ac.uk. School staff should contact their IT Support for guidance about whether they need to obtain a BrookesF password.

The first time you log in you will be given the option to register. Once this has been completed you can alter the chosen options at any time by selecting Update Account from the left hand menu.

We offer two levels of participation in Eduroam:

  • The Brookes wide eduroam@brookes service covers Gipsy Lane, Harcourt Hill, Headington Hill, Marston Road and Wheatley campuses.

To join the eduroam@brookes wireless network you must register and agree to the eduroam@brookes Acceptable Use Policy and abide by the Brookes IT Regulations & Guidelines which it extends.

  • To participate in the wider eduroam service (which will enable you to use wireless at other participating institutions) you can select the option for registering with full roaming access. If you choose this option you must agree to the JANET acceptable usage policy as well as the eduroam@brookes one.

The usage of the Brookes eduroam service is continually monitored and if you break the rules your access will be restricted.

At any time you can disable your access to eduroam@brookes (eg if you are lending your laptop to someone else) by logging in and then clicking the 'settings' link in the left hand menu and clicking the checkbox next to 'Do you want to temporarily disable your eduroam@brookes profile?'.

To register, proceed to the eduroam@brookes log in page.
