Projects
Since its establishment the Centre has undertaken a number of externally funded projects that include:
- Managing flexible retirement and extended working lives.
- Research on the impact of the equality guidance on the RAE 2008. The Centre has carried out a major research project for HEFCE and the Equality Challenge Unit (ECU) to investigate the impact of the equality and diversity requirements of the 2008 Research Assessment Exercise.
- Developing Good Practice in Managing Age Diversity in the HE Sector. The Centre was awarded funding by HEFCE under the Leadership, Governance and Management Fund, to undertake a project to help the HE Sector develop good practice in managing Age Diversity.
- Action for the development of Academic Women in the HE sector, funded by the European Social fund.
- Research to explore diversity issues in recruitment, funded by the Compass Group PLC. Not available online.
- Research to investigate the causes of women’ under-representation in Higher Education funded by the European Social Fund. Publications: Stage one and Stage two reports (link to PDFs)
- Research to investigate leadership styles and their relationship to flexible working, funded by the Leadership Foundation for Higher Education. Publication: Leadership Styles for Work-Life Balance (PDF, 607KB)
