Brookes Bridges work experience

How you can help

All of the “Bridges” depend on networks of supportive staff at Brookes who are prepared to integrate the work of developing young people with their main business activities.

They can only be successful if colleagues are positively enabled to give their time to act as work experience providers to the young people coming through.

We specifically need your support for the work experience part of the project and you can help us by:

  • supporting the project
  • identifying managers or colleagues interested in developing supervisory skills, and making them known to us so that we can build a network of contacts and a pool of work experience placements;

(Appendix 3 gives more detailed information about what a work experience placement would be expected to provide)

 The schedule is a tight one, as we need to have as many work placements as possible ready for the end of October 2005. Work placements that can be ready for January 2006 are very welcome, too.

All work experience placements will end by June 2006, and the project will be reviewed.

It is hoped, however, that good experiences had by staff at Brookes and by pupils from OCS will contribute to the sustainability of the partnership.
