e-PMguide: a project management tool
The e-PMguide (electronic project management guide) is designed to give staff involved in projects flexibility and choice in deciding how they are to proceed. The e-PMguide is a comprehensive online tool offering:
- A full description of every stage of a small, medium or large project
- A comprehensive glossary of standard project management language
- A further range of downloadable Brookes-friendly templates
- Step-by-step guidance and how-to for troubleshooting
- A strong base for understanding the usefulness of an project management approach
How to use the e-PMguide

The guide offers approaches in helping users with their projects:
- Across the top of the home page are the four stages in a project life cycle: Initiative, Plan, Do it, Close down . Each of these stages are further sub-divided into their component parts. The M button offers descriptions about methodologies, disciplines and roles according to the size of the project.
- The lower level of buttons on the home page offers background support with a glossary of terms, exemplars, pro-formas, bibliography and navigation.
You can’t print the pages directly, but you can cut/paste, and of course, the templates are downloadable for you to complete.
