New spaces

The university is making exciting changes to its estate and the Directorate of Learning Resources is playing a key role in these developments.

These include a new library and teaching building on the Headington campus which will bring together the library provision and a range of modern IT resources into a single location, placing them at the heart of learning, teaching and research. 80 % of the space is devoted to library and teaching spaces with the rest providing catered social areas, Students' Union and essential support services.

The library will offer flexibility and choice, with a great variety of spaces to support quiet research or dissertation work as well as areas for social and collaborative learning.

Through the course of the project you will find specific information regarding the developments which impact our staff and our users on these Learning Resources pages.

Full details of the Masterplan and Wheatley Campus Plan, together with other supporting documentation and news, can be found on the university’s Space to Think web site.
