Equal Opportunities in the Curriculum

A conference on Equal Opportunities in the Curriculum was held at Oxford Brookes University in September 1997. The day focussed on four specific themes:

• developing materials and practice
• enhancing the learning environment
• making it happen
• the student experience

All of the presented workshop papers and most of the keynote addresses are contained in the publication. Anyone interested in equal opportunities in the curriculum, either from a practical perspective or as an area of academic research will find a diverse and erudite body of information. Many of those presenting represent the leading edge in their field of study. In total, this book provides an important source of current thought and practice in the area of equal opportunities in the curriculum.
