Alan Jenkins
Alan has taught geography in schools and colleges in Canada, the USA and the UK. From 1974-1990 he was a member of the Geography Unit at Oxford Brookes University and has published widely on aspects of geography teaching in Higher Education.
He is currently involved nationally in various curriculum and IT projects in Geography. In 1990 he joined the Educational Methods Unit (now OCSLD) and worked on the Enterprise project to integrate profiling and transferable skills throughout the University.
He is now Emeritus Professor at Oxford Brookes University, a fellow of the Reinvention Centre for Undergraduate Research at Warwick University and Oxford Brookes, and a consultant for the Higher Education Academy on links between teaching and research.
