Gina Wisker is Professor of higher education and contemporary literature and Head of the Centre for Learning and Teaching at the University of Brighton, where she also teaches English and supervises PhD students. Gina's books include The Postgraduate Research Handbook (Palgrave Macmillan 2001, 2008), The Good Supervisor (Palgrave Macmillan 2005, 2012), Horror Fiction (Continuum 2005), Postcolonial and African American Women's Writing (Palgrave Macmillan 2000) and the Undergraduate Research Handbook (2009). She is co-editor of the SEDA journal Innovations in Education and Teaching International and was chair of the Heads of Educational Development Group.
