James Wisdom

James Wisdom is a consultant specialising in educational development in Higher Education. He has worked extensively in the area of course evaluation, student consultation and feedback within all types of universities and colleges and he contributed a chapter on this subject to Approaches to Staff Development (ed. Dr. Angela Brew) 1994. He has worked with the HEQC on research into graduate standards and institutional self-evaluation, with the OCSLD on resource-based learning and modularity and with teachers of History through the FDTL History 2000 project. In 1995 he set up (under the Electronic Libraries Programme) the web-site DeLiberations on Teaching and Learning in HE. He has managed the Educational and Staff Development unit at London Guildhall University and has been the external examiner of a number of postgraduate Higher Education courses.
