Michelle Haynes
Michelle Haynes is an educational developer based in the Centre for Learning and Quality Enhancement at Middlesex University. She taught in secondary schools for ten years before joining the Open University where she worked on staff development materials for associate lecturers including a series of Toolkits on a variety of subjects including equal opportunities, groupwork and ‘how do I know I am doing a good job?’ In her current post she works across the university with a wide remit which includes curriculum design, equal opportunities, distance and e-learning. She is an associate lecturer at the Open University teaching on the MA in Education Management and the Ed D. She is a Fellow of both HEA and SEDA and is a member of the editorial board of the SEDA magazine, Educational Developments. She is the convenor of the conference Challenging the Orthodoxies: Alternative Approaches to Educational Research in Higher Education. Her PhD research was concerned with ethnicity, identity and racism.
