Claire Burgess
Claire joined OCSLD in November 2009 from a consultancy background where she worked as an Occupational Psychologist with a number of private and public sector clients. She has also worked as a teacher in the Secondary education sector, teaching English to 11-18 year olds as well as adults. As an Occupational Psychologist, Claire has focused on improvements in the recruitment, retention and development of staff, as well as management development. This has been through initiatives such as the development of competency frameworks, employee engagement and motivation strategies, creating bespoke training, and assessment using psychometric tests. She also has a keen interest in positive psychology and the effect it can have on people throughout the workplace.
Claire is a member of the British Psychological Society and on their Register of Competence in Occupational Testing, as well as qualified to administer and feedback a number of psychometric tests for both individuals and teams.
Claire has joint responsibility within the team for leadership and management development.
