Greg Benfield
Greg is from Melbourne, Australia, where he gained a wide experience of teaching in the secondary, TAFE (Technical and Further Education) and Higher Education sectors. In 1997 Greg moved to RMIT University, Melbourne, where he co-ordinated the Mathematics and Science academic support for the RMIT Learning Skills Unit and was a Learning Technology Mentor for RMIT's Faculty of Education, Language and Community Service. He taught the graduate education subject, 'Teaching and Learning Online', delivered in online distance learning mode.
Greg joined OCSLD in January 2001. His work focuses on supporting e-learning and he is a tutor on the Postgraduate Certificate of Teaching in Higher Education.
He is a Fellow of the Assessment Standards Knowledge exchange (ASKe). As well as his work at Brookes he delivers national workshops on e-learning and assessment and has been involved in a range of national JISC and Higher Education Academy e-learning projects. His research interests are:

- Communication and collaboration in technology-rich HE environments
- e-Learning course design
- Computer aided assessment
