Benefits legacy

Module tutors comment that “It has allowed students to benefit from 'extracurricular' activities and to incorporate their voluntary and community work within an academic framework”.

The “practical experience has helped raised awareness of disciplinary constructs and theories. Thinking about their own strengths in the workplace and negotiating challenges has raised confidence. The presentation element has been favourably commented on, particularly the chance to get feedback from peers as well as tutors.

Project synopsis

The University highly values the contribution which work related and other extra and co-curricular experiences make to the development of students' wider knowledge and skills and to the application of their disciplinary knowledge in real contexts.
