What else is the University doing to improve the student experience

At Oxford Brookes we pride ourselves on the teaching and support we give to students. A key part of the current University Strategy is to ensure we deliver an outstanding experience for our students.

The Programme to Enhance the Student Experience is a key part of this but it is not the only change we're making that we feel will benefit students in the coming years. Other improvements include:

  • £150m investment in our campuses including the flagship new library and teaching building - the first phase of which will open in summer 2012.
  • Improved staff student ratios by reducing the number of on-campus students and increasing the number of students studying Brookes degrees at our associated colleges.
  • Close working with the Students' Union and student representation on every key decision making body - including our Governing Board.
  • Close monitoring of student feedback - particularly the feedback we get from graduating students in the National Student Survey.
  • Ad hoc campaigns - such as Unseen Changes - to enable students suggest the improvements they would like to see.
