Improving financial awareness for non-financial managers 1 day |
This is a 1-day course for managers to improve understanding of basic finance principles and methods, accountancy terms and procedures and make better use of financial information. Topics include: accounting profit and cash, accruals, provisions and depreciation, the nature of costs, cost control, adding value and adding cost, budgets and forecasting, communicating financial data to others. |

This will help you understand your behavioural preferences and those of others, the impact these differences may have, and consider where you could adapt your style to work with others. Delegates will have the opportunity to understand the standard best practice approach to purchasing in Oxford Brookes, including examining the processes involved, the financial regulations and other legal requirements.
