11 March 2010: Public Relations Launch of the Centre for Rowing Campaign.

At this event the Vice Chancellor was delighted to announce that the fundraising Campaign had reached its first milestone of £100,000. A partnership with Oxford Academy was also announced giving local children a chance to experience rowing under the guidance of student rowers and coaches.

28 April 2010: Pulling Together - Showcasing the success of Brookes Rowing.

This event provides an opportunity to see GB International and Brookes high performance rowers in training, to meet Double Gold Medallist, Steve Williams together with other Olympic medallists and find out what an athlete has to learn to become a successful oarsman.

Former Brookes’ rower Ben Hunt-Davis will present the lecture, 'Will it make the boat go faster?' Ben is currently working as Olympic Programme Director at the British Olympic Association.

There will also be a display of photographs taken by Campaign photographer, Jean Roberts and a wine tasting of the Brookes Boathouse wines which are to be sold in aid of the Campaign.
