• What is PESE?

    In recent years, Oxford Brookes has undertaken an ambitious programme to meet its strategic commitments in further improving the student experience. This has become established as the Programme to Enhance the Student Experience (PESE). Last year, the University launched eight new projects which form the PESE 2 and these webpages provide information on latest progress.

    We want you to get the most out of your time as a student. There is always help at hand if you need a bit of expert guidance - whether from your tutors, fellow students or from college services.

    As an automatic member of the Brookes student union you are also entitled to use its independent advice service too.

    What is Brookes student life like?

    Most of your student life is likely to be based in your college, where you can tap into its unique set of resources, support and advice.

    Depending on your circumstances you may wish to enjoy all that a student lifestyle has to offer. Or you may simply prefer to fit your studies in around other life priorities. Whichever works for you, college staff are on hand to help you get the most from your time as a Brookes student.

    Oxford Brookes' Strategy 2020

    As part of the first Programme to Enhance the Student Experience, 12 University-wide, evidence-based projects were established. These have now moved to business as usual and their outputs and making a real benefit to the student experience.
