Brookes BibleFest

The Brookes BibleFest runs from 17th to 21st October 2005

A week long festival celebrating the contribution of the Bible to European life and culture.

Lunchtime seminars on creative arts and cultural workshops.

Teatime lectures on key ideas and their contribution to European thought.

Monday 17th: Scriptural calligraphy, with Mary McKeone rscj
Tuesday 18th: Icons: praying with eyes open, with Fr John Baggley

Wednesday 19th: Storytelling seminar, with Revd Tony Price
Friday 21st: John Wycliffe and the translation of the Bible, with John Severn of the Wylciffe Bible Translators

Teatime lectures at 4.15

Monday 17th: Salvation - explanations after the event, with James Bloice-Smith
Tuesday 18th: Wisdom: life skills in God's world, with Margaret Whipp
Wednesday 19th: Hoorah for Hosea!, with Diana Townsend
Thursday 20th: The Covenant of Grace, with Bruce Gillingham
Friday 21st: Life in the Spirit, with John Bilson

All events are in the Chaplaincy room at the Helena Kennedy Student Centre and are open to all staff and students.
