“It was a great feeling for the first time ever to open up to a stranger who wanted to listen to my situation”

About counselling:   Many people who have not been to counselling are unsure what it involves. We provide information in these web pages to help you understand what counselling is like. However, we certainly won't have covered everything, so please ask us if you want more information.

An introduction to this section of our web site:

  • Frequently asked questions – here you can find out what counselling is like, and what to expect in counselling appointments.
  • Confidentiality and record keeping – an introduction to our policy, because confidentiality is important to us, and to many of our clients.
  • Medical certificate and other letters – an introduction to our policy, telling you when it is, and isn't, appropriate for us to provide a letter.
