About us

There are lots of ways we can support current students.

How we can help

Whether you have a specific career in mind, or you simply want to talk things through, you can speak to us. We can also give you feedback on your CVs and applications, assist with interview preparation or help you with career options and job search.

Our services are available to full-time and part-time Oxford Brookes undergraduate and postgraduate students, including research students and Oxford Brookes graduates for up to three years following graduation.

The Information Team

The Information Team is the first point of contact for all enquiries to Careers.

We provide a skilled triage service to discuss your queries with you, gather information, and determine the most appropriate form of support. Within the Team, we can help with a wide range of your careers-related needs including CV and covering letter reviews, and initial information and advice on career planning and job searching. We can also help you navigate our extensive resources and can signpost you to the most relevant and up to date sources of careers information.

If more in-depth advice and guidance is required, we may refer you to meet with one of Careers Consultants and we will liaise with you to arrange a suitable time.

You can ask us anything and we'll either help or point you towards someone who can!

The Careers Consultant Team

In line with the various codes of practice under which we operate, all members of staff are trained appropriately for their job and undertake regular further training to update their professional knowledge and skills.
