Public transport links to Oxford and Headington are reliable and frequent.
We do strongly advise against bringing a car to the Gipsy Lane Site as there are no parking facilities available for either graduates or guests on campus. The only exception is those who have advised us of their Blue Badge Number when registering to attend a ceremony.
On street car parking is also extremely restricted in the Headington area unless you are a local resident and hold a resident parking permit.
There will be limited pre-bookable parking available at the Wheatley campus. Please refer to the section 'Arriving by car' below.
Reading, Bristol and Birmingham. Travel time from the Train Station to the University is up to 30 minutes.
From the Train Station catch the number U1 bus from Stop R8 or the number 400 Park and Ride bus from Stop R7, both are in Frideswide Square opposite the Said Business School entrance, a one minute walk from the station. Buses stop outside the University. You can also catch the Arriva number 280 bus from directly outside the train station.

Limited parking - Wheatley campus
There will be limited parking available at the Wheatley campus for graduates and their guests attending a ceremony in September. Bookings can be made on-line from 16 July 2014 and permits will be allocated on a first come first served basis. Parking will be £5 per car for the day (which is non-refundable).
To request a parking space please complete the Graduation Parking Request Form by 15 August 2014.
We will respond to all requests. If you are successful in gaining a parking space we will send you a booking confirmation and instructions on how to purchase your parking ticket. Payment must be made within 3 working days of your confirmation email.
Buses will run between the Wheatley campus and Gipsy Lane site every 15 minutes. In addition to the parking charge, graduates will be able to purchase, for bus travel on the U1 bus, a Graduation Day Ticket for £2 or Graduation Group Day Ticket (for four people) for £6. Tickets are only available from the bus driver when getting on the bus at the Wheatley campus. These day tickets are also valid for travel into Oxford city on the U1 bus for the duration of the day. This is the recommended service for graduates and guests travelling by car.
Park and Ride ServicesOxford has five park and ride sites, each with fast, frequent bus services to the city centre and the University. Buses depart from Park and Ride sites every 10-15 minutes. The car parking facilities at each of the sites are equipped with CCTV and on-site security personnel (http://parkandride.oxfordbus.co.uk/).
There are severe traffic and parking restrictions in Oxford so the Park and Ride services are a good option.
Please note that the closest Park and Ride site to the campus, Thornhill, is extremely busy during the week, so please do allow good time. All Park and Ride buses are low floor easy access vehicles with spaces for wheelchairs.
Please Note: Oxford roads and all the Oxford Park and Ride sites can get very busy. We recommend that you use another form of transport to avoid bringing a car to Oxford. However, if you have no other option we suggest that you allocate extra time just in case the car park that you expected to use is full.
