    How to be critical

    Do you feel your writing is more descriptive than you want it to be? Perhaps you have been told to be more critical but you are not quite sure what that means. This session explores barriers to critical thinking and gives you the tools to create effective academic arguments.

    Reading and referencing

    How do you know when you have read something? How many references is enough for your latest assignment? This session explores how to get the most out of your reading and why referencing matters. Using the Harvard system as an example, the session will demonstrate how understanding the logic underpinning a referencing system can enable you to reference confidently and accurately.
