Pre-registration students based at Ferndale Campus, Swindon
Information for students studying Adult Nursing and Operating Department Practice.
From 2012, the university aims to have rented accommodation in place through local preferred landlords specifically for Oxford Brookes students. The accommodation will be situated close to the Ferndale Campus, Swindon.
Assistance with finding accommodation for those students placed in Swindon or the Swindon area is also provided by the local NHS Trust Accommodation Officer. This is either through providing short term room letting at the Great Western Hospital residency block or by supplying a list of recommended landlords.

You may be eligible, under the NHS bursary scheme, to claim travelling expenses to and from your practice placement, if the distance travelled is greater than that travelled to your normal place of study. For more information, please refer to the Practice Education Unit website, and your funding sponsor.
Note: Operating Department Practice students whose placements are within the South Central area (Oxford and Banbury) can apply for university accommodation based in Oxford.
