If you are applying to any of the following courses, you are required by law to be checked through the Criminal Records Bureau:
- Teacher Education
- Children's Nursing
- Nursing diplomas
- Midwifery
- Learning Disability Nursing
- Mental Health Nursing
- Adult Nursing
- Social Work
- Physiotherapy
- Occupational Therapy
- Osteopathy
- Paramedic Emergency Care
- Operating Department Practice.
You will be given full details of the checking procedure once you have accepted an offer of a place on the course, either directly, or through UCAS. A satisfactory health record will also be required for the above courses. Forms relating to these checks will be sent out and must be returned within the given time to avoid a delay in processing your application.
All offers made for pre-registration qualification programmes for the School of Health and Social Care are conditional on satisfactory declaration of Criminal Offenders Act, satisfactory Criminal Records Bureau (CRB) disclosure, commensurate with course requirements and satisfactory occupational health screening for individual professional registration.
