KEY INFORMATION SETS
From September 2012 the government will require all universities in England to produce standardised information as Key Information Sets (KIS) for all undergraduate courses. This will help prospective students choose the right course for them.
Each course must provide information on 17 key areas including:
- student satisfaction rates
- methods of teaching
- employment prospects and rates
- accommodation costs
- bursaries and financial support.
Vice-Chancellor, Professor Janet Beer, had a key role in the establishment of KIS.
Our admissions team can help you through the university's application process.
Before you apply
Before you apply, check to make sure you have met the entry requirements for your course.
Entry requirements
We accept a wide range of qualifications, ranging from A-level results to HNDs, and, in some cases, prior work experience.
Application process
The route you take to apply will depend on what kind of course you are applying for, whether you are full- or part-time, and your start date. Make sure to check application details for your specific course. Course entries will specify whether you need to apply through UCAS, directly to the university or through another application body.
Applying through UCAS
Use the online Universities and College Admissions Service (UCAS) to apply for undergraduate study, HNDs, foundation degrees, foundation diplomas, and some MEng courses.
Applying through UKPASS
Use the online UKPASS service to apply for many postgraduate courses.
Applying directly
Apply directly for undergraduate January entry, some postgraduate taught and research courses, associate study, and professional / short courses.
Other applications
Apply through other organisations for nursing diplomas, the CPE/Graduate Diploma in Law, and PGCE course.
