The Department of Computing and Communication Technologies is home to world-leading and award-winning research. Our focus is on user-inspired original research with real-world applications.

We also offer an MRes in Wireless Communications, a one-year master’s course that includes an extended research dissertation component.

Support and Supervision
PhD students are an important central part of our community, and are given every opportunity to learn new skills and contribute to the research culture of the department.
You will be supervised by a research- active member of academic staff who provides support and advice throughout the duration of your PhD. We also provide a comprehensive research training programme, consisting of taught courses as well as regular research seminars. The research student community is lively and collegiate.
