Our academics have solid experience of their specialist fields, not only in an academic context but in a business context too – if you've already studied business you'll recognise their names since they've written many of the standard textbooks, but don't worry if you haven’t studied business: our 'Foundations of Business' module is specifically for those who don't have A-level Business.

Our research ensures that our teaching is up-to-date and our research strengths include accountability and governance within organisations, international business economics and development, employment relations dynamics of organisational life, human resource development including coaching and mentoring, marketing strategy and consumer behaviour in services, electronic marketing and higher education pedagogy.

Our brand new Business School building on our Wheatley Campus, is a bright, open space filled with the most up-to-date technology to help your learning. If you opt to study real estate you'll be based on our Headington Campus where you'll benefit from the superb facilities and the vibrant and exciting environment. We have excellent links with many professional bodies from the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants to the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors. Work placements are a big part of most of our courses. You'll experience a proper graduate level role for your one year placement, and recent destinations for Brookes students have included Microsoft, Intel, BT, Disney, Rolls-Royce, BMW, Exxon Mobil, KPMG and Lloyds TSB.

You can choose to combine some business and management subjects with other courses, allowing you to bring together an existing interest with a career choice.
